About
Hi! I’m Isabella — so glad you’re here
Wife, mother, certified birth doula, and licensed speech-language pathologist. I walk with mothers through pregnancy, birth, and the tender first weeks — with steady hands and a heart rooted in Christ.
My story
Looking back, Little Way Doula Services was born years ago.
I grew up in a big, beautiful, boisterous family. I am the eldest of seven children, a position that instilled in me a deep seated joy for the care of others. I was given the gift of watching my mother raise her beloved brood, her patience and tenderness never lost on me. The quiet moments of her Little Way - a soft hum as she rocked a baby to sleep, a gentle laugh as she cooked dinner, a sweet hug for her oldest daughter even as she breathed through early labor contractions with her youngest - were the foundation of my lifelong desire to become a wife and mother.
My own experience of labor & delivery with my two sons taught me something crucial: that the difference in the quality of a birth experience can be as small as a quiet word or a listening ear. In my own experience of the vulnerability and sacredness of birth, the Lord revealed to me His heart for mothers and lit my own heart aflame.
Becoming a doula brought two halves of my life together: my love for birth work and my love for speech-language pathology. Now I get to stand beside mothers from the first prenatal visit through the last latch check — as the steady presence I once needed. Supporting women through pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum has become a culmination of my early desires to care for others. It is truly a privilege to meet mamas where they are at and I am honored to be considered as a witness to your Little Way.
Why “Little Way”
Small things, done with great love
The name comes from St. Thérèse of Lisieux, who taught that holiness isn’t found in grand gestures but in small, hidden acts of love done faithfully. That is exactly what birth work is — a cool cloth, a whispered prayer, a hand that doesn’t let go at 3 a.m.
St. Thérèse promised to spend her heaven showering roses on the earth. You’ll find her roses woven through everything here — and, I hope, through the care itself.
“What matters in life is not great deeds, but great love.”
